Wat is de oorsprong van dit feest?

Op 23 april vieren we in Turkije de Dag van de Nationale Soevereiniteit en het Kind – een unieke feestdag die Atatürk aan alle kinderen van de wereld heeft opgedragen. Sinds 1979 wordt deze dag wereldwijd gevierd dankzij UNESCO.

What is the origin of this celebration?

On April 23, we celebrate National Sovereignty and Children’s Day in Turkey – a unique holiday dedicated by Atatürk to all the children of the world. Since 1979, this day has been celebrated internationally thanks to UNESCO.

A day full of joy, friendship, and childhood happiness!
